Vaginal Rejuvenation

Geneveve by Viveve®

One of the many side-effects of aging is the loss of collagen and elasticity in the skin. Just like skin, vaginal tissue is made of these two components and they are vital to a woman’s feminine tightness and sensation. The loss of vaginal collagen, due to aging or trauma (childbirth) can not only lead to decreased tightness and sensation, but can cause urinary incontinence which can quickly diminish a woman’s quality of life. Dr. Rednam is passionate about giving women back the freedom and satisfaction through vaginal rejuvenation, a quick and effective treatment—Geneveve by Viveve®.

Vaginal rejuvenation, The Geneveve by Viveve® treatment is a safe and comfortable single-session treatment that takes only thirty to sixty minutes. Geneveve uses gentle deep heating along with surface cooling to stimulate the body’s natural collagen formation process, giving patients the returned sensation, increased lubrication and tightness they desire. This boost of collagen formation also gives those struggling with urinary incontinence the control and freedom necessary to lead a more normal life. In addition, there is excellent promise for breast cancer survivors post chemotherapy dealing dryness and painful intercourse. Geneveve does not require local or topical anesthesia, and the thirty minute treatment is performed as an in office, outpatient procedure.

It has been reported that 90% of women treated reported statistically significant sustained tightening and increased sexual satisfaction starting as early as 30 days, and extending up to 12 months after treatment. Patients typically return to normal activities immediately, but should refrain from intercourse or tampons for at least 72 hours.
